About This Project

Stichting Noordje organises after-school projects and lots of excursions, workshops, and other activities for kids. Many of those children were not born here, or they come from families where Dutch is not the first language. That’s why the Dutch language is a focus point of many activities at Noordje, just as art, creative expression, and presenting one’s work are permanent central themes in everything we do. The work I do for Noordje is a pleasantly mixed bag. Editing simple texts, making the newsletter, helping with subsidy requests, and my definite favourite, coordinating and hosting zoom reading session with the kids in our own ‘Boekenclub’.
